Under the terms of the Personal Data Protection Act, the data holder is guaranteed the right to access, update, rectify or delete their personal data, at any time, as well as the right to object to the use of the data provided for the purpose of sending informative communications, and to do so, if they have not done so at the time of collection, they must send a request to SPQ.
By sending information to SPQ, you are freely and voluntarily authorising its incorporation into our database and its use in accordance with the principles of this Privacy Policy.
The transmission of personal data in the reserved areas is private and secure, being encrypted using keys. The authenticity of the server is ensured through a Digital Certificate - "Let's Encrypt", signed by a trusted third party entity and recognized by all web browsers.
We protect the personal information you share with us. Access to your personal information is limited to the people who need it (SPQ staff and Board of Directors, conference organisers and Chemistry Olympiad coordinators) to do their job. Consultation of this data requires a reserved access.
We collect personal information when registering for activities (scientific meetings/Chemistry Olympiad) or during your membership. To provide access to certain services or data on our websites and online forms, we may require you to provide personal information. This information may include your name, address, telephone number, fax number, email address, billing information, personal preferences, professional activity and date of birth.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18. In case of existence of personal data of children under 18 years old it will be deleted from our system. SPQ encourages parents to be online with their children.
In the case of the Chemistry Olympiad we collect data on participating students (name, date of birth, number of Citizen Card). For this purpose the teachers responsible must have the authorization of the parents.
Most SPQ websites use cookies. Cookies help us to provide a better user experience by measuring which areas of the websites are of most interest. SPQ also uses cookies when you register for one of our web programmes. In this case, a cookie will memorise useful information that allows our site to remember you when you return. SPQ can only read cookies from its own websites. If you choose to disable cookies in your browser, you may still be able to complete certain operations on our forms and/or reserved areas.

We will use your personal information for the specific purposes mentioned at the time it was collected. We will not subsequently change the way we use your personal information unless you give us express consent for further use.
We do not provide data to third parties. We only provide links to third party websites. Since we do not control these websites, we advise you to review the privacy policies displayed on them (and on everyone), especially on Redunicre and Paypal - credit card payment platform at conferences.
Most of our sites allow you to update your data autonomously, through a: personal area (conferences), school area (Chemistry Olympiad) and member area (SPQ Members).
However, if you prefer you can always request this change through the contact channels with the headquarters as long as your request is authenticated so that we can guarantee your consent.
We use secure technology during communications, unless you have given clear and express consent, we will not disclose your details to any other entity or person.

Information sent to SPQ via web registration and/or forms in general will be treated in accordance with European or national legislation, as applicable, regarding the privacy of information and kept in the strictest confidence.

You have the right to request that we delete your personal information in certain circumstances, i.e. where the purpose of collecting your personal information no longer exists and we are not obliged to retain all, or part, of the personal information for legal reasons.
